“To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs,” Swift wrote in social media posts Thursday morning. “I’ve never done this before. In the past I’ve always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released.”
Swift said the new album is called “Evermore,” which she described as a “sister” album to her latest release, “Folklore.” A video for a new song, “Willow,” will arrive along with the album, to be released at midnight ET Thursday.

What To Watch Next:
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

For the first time in four years, Bravo TV expanded its “Real Housewives” universe. This new show takes place in the one and only Salt Lake City, Utah. The pilot aired last week on November 11th, and the internet is raving about this new reality TV show.
Variety.com says, “Salt Lake City” also leans hard into emphasizing the cast’s religious differences, which is a new angle for a “Housewives” show.” Since Utah is predominantly known as “The Mormon Capital” of the world, this seems fitting. However, the show only features two active members of the faith, with varying degrees of devoutness. The show also features Pentecostal, Jewish, Muslim, and an excommunicated Mormon member.
While this show does have quite a bit more emphasis on religion, the infamous drama in a Real Housewives show is not left out. Variety.com shares, “Within the first hour alone, two women fight over one saying the other “smells like hospital” after attending to an aunt who had both legs amputated; another tells off the doubters of her marriage in a confessional before swinging on a stripper pole at her vow renewal while her father cheers her on; and a woman so successfully steals the spotlight of the birthday party she’s throwing for a co-star that a guest shows up with a gift for the host and not the birthday girl.”
While Varitey.com calls this show “promising,” many do not share the same opinion.  The show currently only has a 3.8/10 star rating on IMDb. One reviewer shares, “It's funny how this show really wants to throw the Mormon church in the mix when more than half of these women aren't active/members and the ones who are aren't representing the church as they should.”
This reviewer shares a valid point, the “Mormon” members on this show do not even follow the church's teachings. One star even says she's "Mormon 2.0."
While this show may nerve many people, it also entertains many. If you missed the first episode, check your local TV provider and don’t miss episode two, airing on Wednesday, November 19th on Bravo. Let us know what you think!

Holi-YAY: Starbuck’s Holiday Line Launch

Picture
By Eve Candell
Fashion and Food Editor

On November 6, Starbucks launched their annual Holiday line of handcrafted beverages and collectable items. To all customers who purchased a holiday drink on launch date were given a free collectible red holiday cup with their purchase.
Every year, Starbucks tries to incorporate the joyful atmosphere of this time of year into their cup designs. This year, they encapsulated the jolly mood in rows of green and red ribbons and stripes on their hot beverage cups, resembling a classic Christmas sweater. Other designs included arrays of green and red stars and polka dots surrounding the signature Starbucks siren logo.
Onto the real news, what drinks did Starbucks choose to add to their holiday repertoire this year?
The first drink, which is actually one you can replicate any time of year, is the Peppermint Mocha. A latte made of Starbucks espresso, steamed milk of your choice, dark mocha sauce and peppermint syrup topped with classic whipped cream and chocolate curls. Contrary to popular belief, Starbucks keeps peppermint syrup in stock year-round, so, apart from the dark chocolate curls on top of the latte, you can replicate the drink any time.
The next drink is the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, which is full of flavorfully festive flavors of white chocolate, and caramelized mocha, topped with whipped cream and red and white sugar crystals. Next up we have the fan favorite, the Caramel Brulee Latte. Mixtures of espresso, steamed milk and caramel brulee sauce, again topped with whipped cream and caramel brulee topping.
Next up is this reporter’s favorite holiday flavor, the Chestnut Praline Latte. Flavorful nutty flavors of caramelized chestnuts and spiced praline go wonderfully with Starbucks signature espresso. Lastly is the infamous Eggnog Latte, made with steamed eggnog and espresso. As a quick note, any of these drinks can be ordered as a Frappuccino or Iced Beverage!
Customers forget that Starbucks also releases new pastry items every holiday season. Although many faithful customers might miss the Pumpkin Spice Scone from last season, they will be happy to see a new scone appearing on the menu. The Cranberry Orange Scone is just one of several new pastries arriving for the holiday season this year, alongside the Cranberry Bliss Bar, the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, the Snowman Cookie and the Snowman Cake Pop.
Don’t forget that along with these favorites, Starbucks also released their Holiday Blend and Christmas Blend Espresso Roast available for purchase as ground beans! Step into your local Starbucks to see the festive Christmas drinkware!

THANKSGIVING VS. CHRISTMAS:
who gets to be celebrated this month

Picture
By Justie Martinez
Trending Editor

H
alloween is now past, now comes the debate whether to listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies or not. The debate of whether all Christmas celebrating should be held off until after Thanksgiving has been going on for years. Many want as much time to celebrate as possible, others want to focus on one holiday at a time.
A poll taken of local students and adults shows that 63% of those surveyed believe that it is okay to start celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving. One Corner Canyon student claims, “With everything going on, Christmas gives people hope and adds cheer that we all need.” Another Corner Canyon student disagrees, saying, “Thanksgiving is all about being grateful for what you have and Christmas is about helping others have more, and others helping you have more. I think you have to be grateful for what you have first.”
Many share the same views as this student, a poll conducted by the Tylt concluded that only 25% of people support celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving.
Supporters of celebrating Christmas before thanksgiving claim, “There's no need to limit Christmas celebration to 25 days in December. With Christmas comes nostalgic movies and music, cookies and quite possibly the best decorations of all time. If you want to adorn your home with twinkly lights and ornaments on Nov. 1, nothing should stop you!”
While nostalgia is a strong defense for those in favor of the early celebration, those against claim, “Thanksgiving arrives at the peak of fall; the leaves are changing and the air is still crisp. Celebrating Christmas in November is like putting ketchup on ice cream. It just doesn't go.”
Christmas in November is like ketchup on ice cream, that is a strong visual. Many agree, and some disagree. Since the debate has strong supporters on both sides of the fight, it is hard to declare what is right and wrong.
Overall, it is. A time for you to celebrate what you want, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Haunikah, all of them, none of them. You have to do what makes you the happiest, but you don’t need to force others to celebrate with you.

Celebrities are taking over TikTok and the internet is loving it!

Picture
By Spencer Croston
Entertainment Editor

By now everyone knows the extremely popular social media app TikTok. The app that started gaining popularity in early 2018 has become a staple in mainstream media. With it being seemingly impossible to go anywhere without hearing about the app, it was only a matter of time before celebrities from all across the globe began using TikTok.
Big named celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon, Gordon Ramsey, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, and Lizzo have begun posting frequently on the app, garnering large followings. The aforementioned celebrity chef, who is known for harshley critiquing people’s meals, has begun doing the same to his followers on the app. Kristin Salaky of Delish stated, “
Gordon Ramsay's TikTok account is full of joyful things like him dancing with his daughter or reacting to audios of his own freak-outs, but these days, it's mainly full of the TV chef's bread and butter: telling people their cooking absolutely sucks.”
The Oscar-winning actress, Reese Witherspoon, has been using the app to make silly videos and further bond with her son who also frequently uses the app. Alicia Lee of CNN claimed, “Reese Witherspoon is proving once again that she's not a regular mom, she's a cool mom. Her 16-year-old son Deacon Phillippe dropped his first single, "Long Run," featuring Nina Nesbitt last week. And being a proud mom, Witherspoon showed off her son's latest accomplishment on Saturday not with a simple post on Facebook or Instagram, but through the medium of choice for Gen Z -- a TikTok dance.”
Witherspoon’s presence on the app seemed to inspire none other than action star Will Smith to join the app. Angela Watercutter of Wired stated, “It was bound to happen. Not a week after fellow celeb Reese Witherspoon got on the app, the Fresh Prince has officially joined TikTok.” Smith frequently posts silly videos that are extremely well edited, yet don’t quite make a lot of sense. Within weeks of these celebrities joining the app, millions of TikTok users began following them. Many of their videos are extremely popular, consistently making it onto the app’s “For You Page.” With these celebrity accounts garnering huge followings, it is clear that TikTok users love the presence of celebrities on the app.

As the leaves fall, the temperature gets colder, everyone’s camera roll gets fuller. Whether you are trying to get those life-long memories with your friends, that new instagram profile picture, or even those perfect senior photos, there are many tricks and tips to get those perfect fall photos.
Professional photographer, Rebecca Wyatt says, “The sun sets earlier, its angles change, and its light illuminates the earth differently. It’s a great time to take advantage of the earlier golden hour and the warm glow.” Fall is the perfect time to experiment with risky photography ideas. Try sunset photography to make the vivid colors of fall even bolder. Try using backlight to create an angelic vibe.
During fall, there are many opportunities that are not available other times of the year. It is important to embrace the colors. Sarah Wilkerson CEO of Clickin Moms says, “fall is about color.” Use the leaves to your advantage. The leaves are beautiful in fall, try laying in a leaf pile, throwing leaves above you, and even framing the camera with leaves. Capture all the colors around you. The combination of light and color creates the best fall portrait.
The most important part of taking the perfect fall photos, or any photo, is FUN! Jessica Drossen, professional photographer from California suggests, “Set up a time to play and let them discover falling leaves, jumping in leaf piles and the world around them changing colors.” Fun is the key to getting a perfect smile, funny action, and lasting memories.
Taking photos in fall is a great opportunity, great colors, new light, and the best vibes. As the leaves fall faster, get out and practice your model poses, make some memories, and show everyone who ever doubted you that you are the beautiful inside and out.

Stay on Trend this Halloween

Picture
By Tyler Lybbert
Wellness Editor

As Halloween approaches, the more excited I get about this upcoming holiday season. There are so many fun treats and traditions that the Holidays bring in. Halloween brings in the seasonal festivities such as pumpkin carving, haunted houses, corn mazes, and much more. However, Halloween signifies the start of the most popular season out there- Pumpkin Spice season.
Pumpkins can be turned into almost anything. In the nursery rhyme Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, it served its purpose as a house. Although pumpkins are not needed to the extent of houses in the real world, pumpkins serve a great purpose of spicing up the food world. During the holiday season, 800 million pumpkins are consumed in the US, according to The Daily Meal. Maybe the reason for their popularity is because they ́re delicious, or maybe it is because they signify the start of the holiday season. Summer Winds Nursery explains the reason of the increased popularity of pumpkins as a  ̈ strong inclination to act on limited time offers like seasonal pumpkin spice flavors. ̈
There are lots of activities that include pumpkins through these next few months. They make for some cute decorations, or you can carve them to be scary, Halloween themed decorations to greet eager trick-or-treaters. My family enjoys carving out pumpkins, and
whoever has the scariest gets a prize. Some families paint their pumpkins instead.
Other traditions include making pumpkin pie, or making other tasty pumpkin treats. Pumpkins may be a very simple fruit, but they have a lot of uses when it comes to baking. Another good treat is
pumpkin French toast. One that almost everyone has heard of is the Pumpkin Spice Latte at
Starbucks. Pumpkins are popular, and the Holiday season is the best season ever to get creative with what you can make out of one.

MASKS: The new Fashion Peice

By Jada Clayton
Editor of Home Page

Masks, they have been really annoying to some and others don't mind them. They are here for functional and fashionable reasons, and I'm sure you've noticed that there are many unique and cool designed masks.
Because everyone is required to wear a mask almost everywhere imaginable, people have all sorts of them, some are witty, some are cool, some are over the top crazy, while others are just plain old disposable blue ones.

While face masks are clearly being used to prevent the spread of the sickness, masks can also be used to express personality and creativity! There are some that have facial features like beards, mustaches, noses, lips, smiles, and anything being covered by the mask printed right on there.
Companies have been able to use masks to their advantage by putting their logos on them. Along with the trendy cool designs there have been simple and humbling masks because many people have discovered a new hobby in making and selling them. Some people have disregarded nose and mouth masks completely and wear full face shields.

Masks are silly with all of these patterns and designs but some people take it one step further unintentionally by wearing the simple piece of cloth incorrectly.

WAP A  "bridge" between classicalism & modernity
popularity to reinvigorate agnostic Gen-Z'ers interest in Christianity

Picture

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE IS INTENDED AS PURE SATIRE AND DOES NOT REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF cchs OR ANYONE THEREIN...

By Ben Woodward
SCIENCE & TECH EDITOR

"I said, certified Priest
 7-days a week
 Worship and prayer
 Make that sinning-game weak"
Worship and Prayer (WAP), a song Created by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, has recently fallen into the limelight across social media platforms like TikTok. Recently adopted by Christian youth who have choreographed it into a dance, influencers have been using the song's newfound popularity to reinvigorate agnostic Gen-Z'ers interest in Christianity.
Although primarily targeted towards females who want to demonstrate appreciation for their god-given bodies and dedication to classical religious dancing, this dance has grown immensely popular among TikTok's male audience. Posting these dances on TikTok often get the dancer hundreds of thousands of views from men around the world interested in their message of worship and prayer. After establishing a large following of male followers, these female WAP dancers continue to post similar dances in hopes of teaching their following the importance of Worship And Prayer. Although both males and females enjoy the WAP dance, albeit, in different aspects, it has been known to cause contention in relationships. A Corner Canyon student who has requested to remain anonymous recounts a recent experience where the WAP dance instigated an argument between him and his girlfriend:
"I was at Toscano's a few days ago with my girlfriend, and she decided to go to the bathroom.   I got a notification from one of my friends a few minutes prior and decided to reply now that she was busy. . .  I opened the text, and it was a link to a TikTok of a girl doing the WAP dance. I didn't really know a lot about WAP previously, but now I was really interested in it. My girlfriend came back to the table and heard the WAP song playing, immediately grabbing my phone and seeing Addison Rae in the middle of the dance. After realizing it was saved to my favorites, she proceeded to yell at me along the lines of her thinking I didn't find her attractive and that she has way better WAP than Addison. I tried calming her down, but she began to do the WAP dance in the middle of the restaurant, ultimately getting us kicked out."
The student now reports that they have broken up.
Aside from its massive success among Christian youth groups, the term WAP has been widely adopted by affluent groups and people. As the cultural disparity between Gen-Z and older generations grows larger the term, is being used in hopes of overcoming this gap and appealing to the younger audience. Reputable organizations and people such as WHO, President Trump, and the Pope have established themselves as self-acclaimed WAPers and frequently use the acronym across their social media accounts.
