Scholarships, service, & skills
by Bec ward - the arts editor

lAfter just wrapping up College Application Week, it is important for all students who plan on seeking a higher education to enhance their transcripts. Colleges and universities look at extracurriculars, internships, and volunteer work just as much as GPAs.
Here at Corner Canyon, there are a plethora of opportunities to take hold of. Here are some of those options:
A.P. Exams: the deadline to pay to take A.P. tests in the spring has passed, but you can pay the late fee to still get in -- if passed, A.P. course tests will give you college credit(s)

H.O.B.Y. Ambassador: this foundation is looking for sophomore ambassadors to their leadership program -- this program teaches leadership skills and teaches how to turn your ideas into reality

Sports Camps: upcoming boys soccer camp to prep for soccer team tryouts in the spring -- the office has information on its content and payment

Wasatch Front Health Science Internship: ask any health science teacher at C.C. for an application and information (they are due on Friday, November 8th, & interviews will begin on the 13th)

Participation in any school event should be documented for future application processes.
So seniors: gather up everything you can to perfect your transcripts as well as keep your eye open for internships related to your majors. Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors: remember it is never too late to join clubs, prepare for auditions, and volunteer.
